Donation
of an ambulance from the Red Crescent Society of the United
Arab Emirates (UAE) to the municipality of Aalma el Shaab
A
celebration was held at the Embassy of the UAE in Beirut,
where an ambulance from the Red Crescent Society was offered
to the municipality of Alma al Shaab - South of Lebanon.
This ambulance is designed to help sick and injured people
at the frontiers.
His
Excellency Cheikh Mohamed Sultan al-Swaydy, ambassador of
the UAE in Beirut participated in the ceremony as well as
diplomats from the embassy, President of the municipality
of Aalma el Shaab Mr. Nicolas Farah, members of the municipality
and the delegate of the Red Crescent in Lebanon Bassam Ghamrawi
and other personalities. Not to mention that the ambulance'
cost is nearly 100,000 AED.

of His Excellency the Ambassador
In
pursuance of the wise policy adopted by the UAE and drew
by the great leader and late father, God willing, His Highness
Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan (May He rest in peace)
and pursued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed al-Nahyan
- President of the UAE (may God protect him) - by always
supporting Lebanon to get through with his aggravated crisis
as well as supporting its re-construction and progress.
This was showed by many actions as the UAE solidarity program
to remove mines in the South of Lebanon after the liberation.
This
humanitarian action - donation of an ambulance - is one
of many wise directives and rational policies of the UAE.
This aims at helping sick and injured southerners who have
long suffered during the occupation.
In
this occasion, we cannot but ensure our constant support
for Lebanon and the Lebanese people so dear to us and wish
glory, sublimity, stability, prosperity and revival.

Dear
Sirs,
What would you
say if one day, your town woke up at the sight of a gift
brought by a dear beloved country, to reveal an uncommon
joyful surprise and in dire need of it, not only Alma al
Shaab but also the neighboring?
You have been
so kind as to donate us a fully equipped and modernized
ambulance and we cannot but express our utmost appreciation
and respect to whom contributed and helped to the realization
of this dream. Thank you our dear friend the UAE (represented
by His Excellency the Ambassador) and a special thanks to
the Red Crescent and all its employees especially to His
Excellency the Secretary General and his vice-President
for foreign affairs Mr.Saleh Mohamed al-Mullah, as well
as the Red Crescent delegate in Lebanon Mr.Bassam Ghamrawi,
and Mr. Elias Boutros Sayyah, our dear connection with this
precious organization.
We thank you again
and hope for future cooperation for the good of humanity
and may God bestow upon you His graces.
